Welcome to POWER!
Since we first launched the survey and invited women engineers to participate in this project, we’ve received an overwhelming number of responses. Over 5,500 women engineers from 216 universities responded to the survey. We are so grateful to you for your tremendous enthusiasm and wholehearted support for this study. We surely could not have done this without your help!
We have wrapped up the first phase of this three-year project and invite you to read the report from Phase 1 findings (by clicking on the "Results So Far" tab) and share with us your thoughts and feedback. The report provides an overview of the key findings and trends. Please visit the "Media Coverage" page for media responses to the report and let us know of other places where this report has been cited. The analysis and reporting of the rest of the data is currently in progress as we move on to the second phase of the study.
As we continue to develop better and deeper insights into the workplace experiences of women engineers, we would like to invite you to participate in the second phase of the study. The longitudinal design of the study requires that we ask the same questions as we did in Phase 1 of the study. By asking the same set of questions and gathering responses over a period of time, we can document and create a dynamic profile of women engineers’ workplace experiences that can serve to inform and guide policy, educational, and workplace interventions. To date, such a comprehensive, large-scale, and thorough effort to capture women engineers’ workplaces experiences has not been undertaken which makes your participation in this project a critical foundation for its success. Your voice represents many other voices that have not been heard. Won’t you please consider helping us out again?
The survey will take you anywhere between 5 minutes to 30 minutes depending on whether you are a current or former engineer and the length of time since your last engineering position. You can complete the survey all at once or come back later to finish.
Thank you so very much for all your continued help and support! Together, we can make a difference!
